Hi all, Thanks for all the advice. I have finally got it fixed, I think (keeping fingers crossed). I did run a Techtools and Norton and did a defrag. Then from explorers preferences, I set the cache in explorer to 0 and the history to 5. Maybe it was a combination or something, but it now seems to be running fine. Thanks again to all who replied
