Hi All,

I didn't get any response to my last post about the 8600, (Thank you Peter
for answering about my 9600)So I am going to try this again, as I really
need help.
As per my previous post
<I can not get the 8600 to boot. Acutally I can tell it is
booting I just have nothing on the monitor. It is as if it doesn't
reconize it. I have checked the monitor cable and the adapter and done a
cuda push but it still won't work. It was seeing the monitor before but
I was having freezing problems and a quirky restart problem, in that
sometimes it would restart/cold boot fine and other times you would get the
first short chime and then nothing. So becasue of those problems I changed
the monitor resolution in the control panels to one that was reccommended
and it was fine for one boot and it didn't freeze for 2 days then when I
turned it on it had a system bomb, and now it will not restart. Can someone
please HELP! Could it be the vram? it still has on
board video. Would a video card help? or got any other suggestions?>
I changed monitors, which I do not have to use an adapter on, I now can get
video however it freezes at the splash screen. Can someon PLEASE give me
some ideas? I really need to get this machine up and running again.

Thanks,
Pam
