Has anyone in here tried to connect their 7xxx series PCI powermacs, or similar
powermacs wirelessly to a network? I'm very curious about what options are available
right now, and in particular the range limitations that might exist. I ask because
I'm thinking of creating a small wireless network around my home using an ariport
extreme base station. The PCI mac in question will be one floor above the base
station, and about one to two rooms over.
Is this feasible at all?
Sorry for my ignorance, but I've never put much thought into wireless networking until
now. Oh yes, this powermac is running OS 9.0.4 right now, but with an airport network
I could upgrade it further if need be.
