Hi!

How do I know if my jaz drive is cooked?
What is a normal sound of said drive?

My 7300 came with a jaz drive and only yesterday I
got a disk to check it. I put it in the slot, the
drive makes a noise like it's going to take off, but I
don't see the icon on the screen. I installed the
latest driver from Iomega. The iomega tools tells me
that I have to put a disk in to check it(one already
inserted).
Disk setup says there is no mounted media inserted. I
tried three different jaz disks, no luck. Had to
eject them with a paperclip.

Any thoughts?
Jason.
