Funny you should mention that. I just bought a 2210 from eBay for $20! Works
good, except NotePad crashes when I try to print. HP says to reinstall the
drivers again. 

Thanks for tip on "HP Communications.app". FWIW, I moved my old Epson 740
ext's to the disabled folder, and now my 8600/G3/500 appears to be back to
it's snappy self. (OS9.1)

I wish I could be more help with an alternate driver, but I JUST got this
running.
