Zap the PRAM
Can you remind me how to do that?
Go to Mac help and type in PRAM . you will get detailed instructions. Or just pull the battery for a while.
Reseat all RAM DIMMs
Open the case, clean it real good, (but not with a vacuum), check the fan and battery and then remove and push back in the RAM DIMM???
Either just push them firmly but GINGERLY into the slot. Don't over force. NO SIDEWAYS force. You don't want a broken socket.
A more thorough way would be to pull them and spray them and the sockets with contact cleaner. Then reinstall.
Push the CUDA button ( just for drill )
What's that and where is it??
Can't remember on the 9600. but look on the motherboard around the CPU slot for a small square metal base with a circular red or black button.
unplug the AC cord and pull the battery ( PRAM zap solved ! ) Then push the CUDA button with a pencil blunt end or paintbrush handle..
Some listers like small wooden skewers. hold the button down for about a minute. This resets the NvRAM.
Good Luck !
