~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Computer owners like me are tweakers and tuners by nature. I like to get the most performance out of my Macs that I use every day. Since my G3 went down, I'm using the XLR8 accelerated 7600. I've put a 10% faster SCSI server drive in it. It has 224 MB of RAM. It will run at 240mhz. If I try to push it faster it bombs. So, I'm looking at putting in an ATA 66 card to speed hard disk access even more. AND, I want the most speed I can get without tossing hundreds at it. After using a G4 eMac at 1ghz on a dial-up I would have to say I agree with you on the not-noticeable scale. BUT, I need the most speed I can get from my machine. And I love to fart with my Macs.
