256 KB is standard; 512 KB is an option; 1024 KB (1 MB) from a server can be used as well, but these sticks are very difficult to find. The cheapest, quickest upgrade is any of a number of G3 cards, each of which will have 64 KB of L1 cache and either 512 KB of 1025 KB of L2 cache.
