Hello All, I'm trying to decide how much more money to put into "this old box" (PM 9600 running at a stock 350mhz). To that end, I would appreciate hearing stories of pain-free/successful upgrades to, say, 400mhz or higher, and of the other type of upgrade...the type involving economy-sized bottles of aspirin.
Has anyone out there "retired" their 9600 and currently employing it as a server for a G3? That's the most likely scenario for me at this point. Please be sure to describe the make/model of equipment you used for the upgrade and the costs involved (if you're not too shy about mentioning costs, that is).
