Hi, I have a 7500 with a twin port USB card I run a USB mouse and a 40GB Maxtor USB HD from the PCI card, works very well and the external HD always presents itself on the desktop very useful for storage and backups etc. I run OS8.6 on this machine cannot boot from the USB HD as yet - I will upgrade to OS9.1 it might not work but it's worth a try!
regards

Anyone have a USB external hard drive successfully running on a 7600 or
similar running off a USB PCI card? I run a mouse off my card, it has a
spare port, would it run a USB HD (not as start up but for storage and other
things)? I know a FW drive and card (combo or otherwise) is possible and
somewhat desirable but this is another matter...
