Hi people...
I'm on my 17" USB 2.0 FP iMac, and I was wondering if it would work with a Color LaserWriter...I'm asking here, because I'm thinking of purchasing one on eBay and networking my 5400, 8600, and 6100 to it, for school stuff.
Yes it will. It's got built-in ethernet.
If I get no luck here, I'll post in another list.
Oh, btw, how does a Color LaserWriter work? Do you have to feed it through Cyan, then Magenta, then Yellow to get a mixture of all three colors, or can you insert all colors at once?
It's a 4-pass color printer (meaning the paper goes through the developer stage 4 times, once for each color), but all four toners are installed in the machine at once.
Single pass color laser printers didn't come out until after the Color LW was long gone, ony in the last few years, iirc.
