Woof: How is your 640 MB or RAM installed ?
I was fixing up a PowerLogix G3 7300/300 for an older member of our Mac Users Group and I found that the computer worked fine for email and EXTREMELY well on the internet with the ram NOT interleaved and very slowly with it interleaved.
I has to sort out the 64 and 128 Meg DIIMMs into pairs to prevent interleaving but it did greatly improve internet speed. No idea why.
I tried it out with the ethernet connection through an Asante router and it was every bit as fast on the internet as any of the desktop G4s on the same network (800 MHz and 1000 MHz)
