No dice. A connection is there cause the router is indicating one with it's LED.

Well, then you have more than just a simple problem if you can't get either protocol stack to work.


Are the machines getting valid DHCP leases from the router? What are they? Can they ping themselves? Can they ping the router?

Of course you can. Sharing over IP is an option - even in Panther. Read the Help docs provided within Panther. But this is moot if you can't even get basic IP connectivity working.
