I had posted this question sometime back. i finally
was able to open both cases, Blue&White powermac G3.
They both have hard drives. Let me refresh the list as
to what my problems are:
I picked up several computers from my school
district's warehouse. The two blue and whites are the
only ones causing me problems. One has a 6 gig maxtor
drive. On bootup I get a window with the title
DiskLock... Username, Password, shutdown, cancel and
logon. Stays on for about a minute and then shuts
down. I used Apple Software Recovery, command C to
start from the CD. Which works but there is no image
of the hard drive. I opened the case and everything
looks to be in there.
The second computer, I get the folder with the ?.
Starting from the CD does not work. It has a 6 gig
quantum hard drive.
Do I have to replace both drives? Any help will be
appreciated.
TIA.
Pete.
