That's true. On my 9600/350 (1408MB RAM), there's a diffence of � 2 min.
between booting with and without RAM-testing. Because I know my RAM is OK, I
have RAM-testing disabled. To do this: Hold down Command + Option while
opening the memory controlpanel. You will get then a possibility to disable
RAM-testing.
