Depends on the card. Apparently you installed the USB PCI Card. Was there a driver that came with it? Make sure the driver (Extension), if any, loads before the driver for the mouse.

Is it possible to use the mouse without the

it worked perfectly (and
right-click did Control-click, too--that was a
nice bonus).

Interesting thought Colin. Just tried it, but
the "one click wonder"
persists with or without software (except that
without the software the hot
plug treatment doesn't work either).... perhaps
I am destined to plug my
 mouse in each time I start up.... sigh. R
