Well, I know what you mean, but it was just an expression really... there's better for sure, (best is homebrew from the grain itself...)
I've tasted a wonderful stout made by a guy with a reputation for AWFUL home-brew... something must've gone wrong (maybe his dog peed in the vat). Funny, he's an expat Aussie... maybe THAT's why his beers are so bad.

Not in the least, and not only because I'm an import... though I do like NZ beers (Steinlager not so much, but I'll drink it without hesitation if there's nothing else).
