I'm putting some recently acquired upgrades in my 8500 server and when ever I don't have a display attached the the built in video the startup bong comes out as a dull click and a little humming sound. And then is freezes after the desktop patters is drawn but before the Mac OS Face is drawn prior to extensions loading.
8500/120 Sonnet G3-400-1M 320MB 4.3 GB SCSI OS 9.1
Boot and hold down the Command-Option-P-R key combination to reset the PRAM. If you just upgraded with the G3 card, did you press the CUDA button on the motherboard?
