Forget about RB, throw it out. It is super old technology useless for a 7300 on a more modern OS like 9. What OS are you running on your 7300? 256 is at least something, though, try to pick up more real ram though, it is dirt cheap, people are almost giving it away on eBay ... VM it is fine, I don't know why it has such a bad press, there's no way I would say no to doubling my Ram (over 800MB) on HD space for when memory is needed...
