i've just upped the RAM in my 7300 to 448MB ~ hurrah , there's an XLR8 G3 upgrade card in there replacing the original 604 , ( just love the way it blocks my fingers getting to the CUDA chip ! ~ USB card in 1st PCI slot ) i know that i'm supposed to pull the cache RAM lurking tween the main RAM to fully utilise the G3~ness of it now ,
but after bunging in the new RAM i now find that my beastie won't start up !, found if i hit the power button on the lower left front to shut down then power key again it starts up okay, i've used techtool to zap the PRAM ~ the date & time are still okay so it looks like the battery is still okay , am i missing something here or do i need to try harder with CUDA chip ? , ------- http://members.tripod.com/~petlibrary http://www.icpug.org.uk/national http://www.fortunecity.co.uk/skyscraper/perl/316 -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
