Hi Matthew,

To get a command line on your Mac, you'll need to get Mac OS X installed.

Otherwise you might be able to find some GUI programs that are network tools, such as ping or ftp or telnet.

Subject: [PCI] PowerMac 7600 networking issue

I have a powermac 7600 with a G3 upgrade XLR8 card in it. mac OS 9.0.4
I cannot seem to get it to get a ip addy. i know its a good cat6 cable
and a good router as it works on other computers.

I tried using the onboard NIC. and even assigning an ip doesn't make
it see my net connection.

I also have a DLink card that came with it. How do I make it use the
DLink card?
Any Diags I can run on this?

Also I was trying to do a ping. But I can't find a command line. How
do I get to a command line on MacOS?

Matt
