8.1? You have a 8600/300? Upgrade to 9.1, and use iTunes 1.xx. I use
iTunes radiostreamning in os 9.2.2. and 9.1 on various macs.
Realplayer might work in 8.1.

i tried and my audion doesnt work anymore - it says that the stream
is playing but the bytes says 0 -
there is a patch for iTunes 1.1 to work with 8.6 perhaps it works
with 8.1 aswell.
sometimes apps do work even if the say that they are only 8.6 and up.

The problem isn't finding the player it is finding streams that
are still
compatible with it. Here are a few players that I do believe do
Streaming
Audio.
Windows Media Player 7.1.2
Realplayer 8
Those are the main ones. I've never heard of Audion until you said
it. Both
you can download at, http://www.pure-mac.com/audio.html. I think
Quicktime
may also be usable.
