I'm behind on my coursework by about a week and a half, so I can't test it out right now, but I can give two main points I'd evaluate the design on:
1. Can I hit an intuitive key combination (Ctrl+F would work nicely) and have the bar appear (if hidden) and be given keyboard focus (whether or not it's hidden)? 2. When the bar has keyboard focus, can I hit other intuitive keybinds to switch focus to the file list (Enter?) or empty and hide the filter bar and then switch focus to the file list (Escape?).
