Platform is Windows and exe was compiled from the source code of the pcre -packet. I guess the compiled conftest program (is there a conftest?) uses similar methods as trojan horses do? Otherwice it might be from the compiler or it's libraries. Maby it should be mentioned in an INSTALL -file or release notes if it's just a property of a test.
