--- Comment #3 from Philip Hazel <p...@hermes.cam.ac.uk> --- I haven't had time to look at your reference yet, but it does occur to me that it would be simple to add an option PCRE2_SUBSTITUTE_REPLACEMENT_ONLY that does not copy the "in-between" bits of subject, so the output would just be the replacement. If you set the global flag, you would get a concatenation of all the replacements. I will consider further.
