Hi Peter, I've since had someone just reformat the hardrive for me and do a full install of Windows98 on the laptop. Every time I tried to make a startup disk, it was stop halfway through. The laptop had Windows95 installed on it, plus the 98 upgrade, when I bought it on eBay. The laptop had errors on it, so I wanted to reinstall everything. Now that I have a clean install of Windows 98, the errors are gone. I also found out that it's not worth trying to upgrade this laptop, so I'm not sure yet what I'm going to use it for. My Pocket PC does all that I need, then I just synchronize it with my computer. Guess I wasted $250 on a laptop that I thought I could upgrade. The good thing is, it's in really good shape (just OLD). Go to Start/Settings/Control Panel/ Add-Remove Programs/Startup Disk and create the setup disk there.
