All, My Brother-in-Laws Old Machine: Athlon 700, Win 98SE, USB, 10/100 Network Card (currently on DSL). He is buying a Notebook: Toshiba, P800, Win 98SE or WMe (He can order one or the other), USB, 10/100 Network Card, DVD/CD-RW Combo Drive. I was over there the other night and he asked me "So, how will I hook those two beasts up so I can ...." use the DVD on the notebook as a data AND a video drive that will be accessable on the Athlon. Also, he is interested in file sharing between the two machines, and finally, to be able to burn CD's on the notebook from data on the Athlon.
