another one that's getting a lot of conflicting opinions, so I'll jump in on
this one too:
if you want an operating system that takes control away from the user by
automatically "restoring" your system and not allowing you access to some of
the old favorite tweaking stuff, go with ME
but, if you want to be able to boot to DOS when necessary, or have access to
some of the tweaking abilities, go with 98
on the other hand, if you want a stable computer that allows you lots of
freedom to customize and tweak, go with win 2k
being the control freak that I am, I have installed a dual boot on my new
computer (win 98 and win 2k)......and the only reason I keep 98 at all is
becuz I have this addiction to some old games that 2k (nor ME) will tolerate
