Jo.....go to add/remove programs and doubleclick on Microsoft Office and
choose to "repair" it
If this doesn't fix it, the only other thing I could say is uninstall
office, and run the office removal wizard when you reinstall it
Personally, I never download the Office patches, cuz they almost always give
me problems that way......if I really want to apply the SR patches, I order
the CD's from Microsoft (they are free....not even any S&H charges)
But, I hope you completely understand the ramifications of using these
patches....depending on any Outlook patches you have previously downloaded,
upgrading to any SR or SP can leave you with a situation that doesn't allow
you to receive certain types of attachments.
Personally, I chose to run Office 2k with NO patches or upgrades on my new
machine and it runs just fine. However, to get rid of these, you must run
the removal wizard, just uninstalling will not do it.

Celeron 500 with 64mg ram and Win ME
I decided that I was going to upgrade to the SP1 patch for office 2000
premium today. Download and install went fine but from then all it all fell
apart - everytime I tried to open outlook and do anything it would wait
about 10 seconds and then it would close itself down.
Any ideas what might have caused this.
Not sure of what other info you need but will provide it if requested.
