The problem is 100% your ISP's fault IMHO they supply the DHCP server which
provides you with an IP when you connect.
You will need to find some one with an IQ above room temp. at your ISP to
help you get back on.
If I were you I would demand a refund for the time since this started till
it is fixed.
I suppose there is a remote possibility that the modem could be defective
but I seriously doubt it.
Try using your old static IP see if it connects. Worth a try but I wouldn't
bet on it working.
