Like Barry said Alt-F4 is very good and if you don't want to run into this 
problem again then turn off javascript.  In IE you do this through 
Tools/Internet Options.../Security/Internet/Custom Level/ and scroll down 
to the bottom till you find "Scripting of Java Applets" and check 
Disable.  The only problem with this is that you also miss out on the good 
uses of JavaScripts.  There is also a Pop-up killer program 
http://www.analogx.com/contents/download/network/pow.htm which is reported 
to be useful in thwarting these windows too, as they are either "onload" or 
"onexit" windows.  HTH
