Essie,
That is one of the BIGGEST problems I have found with search engines -
companies can get a site registered using various search terms, and you
end up this type of problem unforunately. The oldest profession in the
world is said to be prostitution while the largest amount of web sites
in the world seems to be porn. And surveys seem to consistantly show
that porn sites are the worst offenders that people seem to serf to when
they are at work, and supposed to be working (the others seem to be
sports and buying sites, along with chat rooms).
The other problem you got is one that, unfortunately, seems to go with a
number of the porn sites I got stuck in, in past - like you, I would be
doing some research on various subjects, and get stuck at some porn
site, and the same problem as you, with replicating windows, one after
the other after the other after the other ... I sure wish I knew HOW
they replicate those screen to keep coming at your fast and furious.
Even with javascript and java turned off, I have gotten this problem
happening at times. Unfortunately, the only way I was able to stop the
whole idiot situation was I had to either spend a TON of time closing
all the windows, or just restart my computer - it was just easier to
restart my computer than trying to close somewhere between 50 and 100
windows.
