If you want some good information about personal firewalls, check out Steve
Gibson's site at http://www.grc.com
While he has experienced some outages during the past month due to some
disgruntled "kiddie script" hackers, you will find some information about
some types of firewalls on the site. One of the one's he does *NOT*
recommend, is Black Ice, since if you run his testing software, it shows
tons of holes in the firewall. The only one he has not been able to poke
holes into? Zone Alarm, and by the way, it is the only free one! Go
figure!
