My RealPlayer 8 Plus audio is very distorted. I have tried checking the "Use preferred devices" in Control Panel/Multimedia/Audio, as well as enabling/disabling 16-bit audio for the soundcard (SoundBlaster LIve 512) and still get no satisfaction.
