Hi all:
Strange thing has happened to my Win98 defragment machinery. Formally it
always held up for awhile at the 10% mark (no problem there; it's
expected). Then it would fill up all the boxes (on the show details
screen) and when the road was clear it would quickly self-scroll down to
the next section that needed defragmenting.
NOW, the "blue wave" stops at the 38% mark, and it keeps defragmenting
down further where only my scrolling can find it, and what is worse, the
defragmenting just moves along section by section, line by line, never
skipping to another space needing defragging. What it used to do is
defrag a section and move quickly to the next section needing it. But
now, seems all bases have to be covered taking much longer than it
formally did.
If this makes sense to anyone out there (I don't know any other way to
explain this), please tell me what's going on, and how I can get my
defragmemter back working as it formally did.
