This is the first time I've heard of this, and I've always run with a
fixed swap file since starting with 95. How does a fixed swap affect the
defrag John? Peter Kaulback
Peter, I don't know the answer to that. I only know I had continual problems
with defrag until I found something on the web about problems with permanent
swap files unless the fixed swap file was on a seperate drive or partition.
So I went back to "Let Windows manage" and defrag worked fine. (I was using
Win95a on that particular machine.) So, as for me and my house, we'll let
Windows manage the swap file..... John.
