Found an interesting article about Ad-aware in my computing magazine - Toronto Computes! July 2001 edition. It talks about what Ad-aware is and all about spyware. It also mentions another spyware program that's pretty good called X Cleaner. like Ad-aware, it also has a freeware and Pro version which will set you back 30 bucks ! It also mentions a website that will give you info about what programs are infested with spyware. To date it lists some 850 programs. You can even join a mailing list for updates on any new programs they find that have spyware in them.
