You can do this with "Acrobat Exchange". It's what I use. When it opens a pdf file, in the toolbar there is an option to edit the document. In any adobe reader program (like the free download of the reader version 5.x), in the toolbar there is a 'copy and paste' for text so you can copy any text into wordpad or notepad (if that would work for you). -Clint
