Howdy (second try for this question) I have a series of paragraphs with a single line above each paragraph. If it helps to know, the single lines all end with the same HTML tag <HR SIZE="4" WIDTH="50%"><P>, and the paragraphs all begin with the the HTML tag What matters is that the all the single lines end with the same phrase and all the paragraphs begin with the same word.<LI>.
What I want to do is use the Find/Replace utility and connect each single line to it's corresponding paragraph beneath it (all in one fell swoop). I could do it manually by deleting at the end of the line or backspacing at the beginning of the paragraph, or just dragging the single line to the beginning of the paragraph below it, but I'm talking about a few hundred line/paragraphs. If it helps, take the example below: <snip> Jack and Jill with up the hill to fetch a pail of water. Jack fell down and broke his crown, and Jill came tumbling after <snip>. What find/replace feature could I use in MSWord 2000 to connect line 1 above to line 2 beneath it, making it all ne paragraph? Keep in mind that I have over a hundred such lines with different 'snips', so I want to end up with over a hundred such connections. Something tells me that this is possible using the "Special" button in the Find utility. Knowing how would sure save me a lot of dragging in the document. Anyone know the trick?
