All,
I have a Desktop that is an Athlon 700 running Win 98SE. I have a Laptop that is a Pentium 1G running Win ME. Both have USB ports and Network interface cards. I want to be able to hook them together so that they can see one anothers drives. Specifically, the Laptop has a DVD - CDRW combo drive. I would like to be able to burn files located on the desktops hard drive using the CDRW that is in the laptop. Secondarily, I would like the desktop to see DVD portion of the laptop, so I can play movies through the laptop and view them on the desktop. USB connectivity would be preferred, becuase the network card on the desktop is allready connected to the DSL line. (Are there splitters for those?) What sort of additional software do I need, or would the OS support this sort of connection. Also, do you thing that I would need to add DVD software on my desktop? Any hardware needed, other than cables? Matt ============= PCWorks Mailing List ================= Don't see your post?
