John! Although my response was to Gerry solely and purely tongue-in-cheek,
I can completely understand how your question about CacheSentry lead you to
believe that I needed to know about the Department of Defense standards on
erasing a hard drive.

If Paranoia was my reasoning behind my nightly maintenance I truly would be
odd indeed. But my reason is I STILL use Win95 and enjoy a completely
CLEAN hard drive in the morning when I awake Cookies are based on one
thing from a web page, their ability to discover what makes YOU tick. If I
wanted a commerce site to know me I would become its "buddy" LOL Ad-Aware
is a very good "spyware" detection program and I use it once in a
while. If one investigates what one downloads before downloading it then
"spyware" as a rule will NEVER habitate on one's computer.

As far as History deletion is concerned, let us say that you are a good
family man, pillar of the community etc. and you decide out of curiosity to
a visit some pornographic sites one boring evening. Do you want your wife
or children by accident or otherwise to learn of your sojourn to the
darkside? LOL LOL LOL

All joking aside, the only thing that We humans have left is our thoughts
and ideas. No one has the right to know what I am thinking only if my
thoughts constitute a hostile or aberrant act to others does society have
the right to take action against me or others. So you see the computer is
a road map to our subconscious and therefore should be protected from the
critical eye of a hypochritical world. Plus if one wants to keep their
computer running smoothly and economically spaced GET RID OF ALL YOUR TEMP
FILES AND DUMP YOUR CACHES
