John, I'm sure McAfee, Norton and those others with the high price tags love you folks. I'll settle for my FREE GriSoft AVG @ ZILCH $$$$. . .does the job as well as those high priced, and over rated programs, along with some prudence on the users part. Yesterday I received a message from Clarence Ros,(??) along with an Uninstall.exe attachment.
The body of the test referred to an HP article that the current program must be uninstalled before the new one could be installed. It just so happened that I had re-installed my HP Scanner and had a message along those lines. The "uninstall.exe" was small, only about 67 bytes. I moved the attachment to my desktop, and my AVG AV program warned me of a v**rus alert. What was the contents of the uninstall.exe. . .I have no Idea, it's trashed and history.
