A friend of mine had a spindle of Memorex and could only read them on
the burner drive. He was able to burn them (using WinOnCD), but could
not read them on his wifes machine or my laptop.  He then burned a
generic of the same information and it read fine on all drives.  With
that, I have not purchased a Memorex disk and won't.
