I have a client with a USR Performance Pro modem model 3CP325610A. The
modem interferes with long distance calls only but I think it may be
hardware related as well, perhaps it may need to be replaced entirely. Plug
the phone line into the line port and the phone line goes dead for other
phones sharing the line when the modem is not in use, the modem will
connect properly still. Plug the phone line into the phone port and all
long distance calls ring once and are then dropped when the modem is not in
use but all local calls function properly. And the modem will connect to
the internet through the phone port as well. Only by disconnecting the line
from the computer is the long distance issue resolved.
Any ideas would be most welcome.
