From: "Richard Thomas" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Monitor was manufactured in 1999, has no HV. Found DH08 dead shorted. The diode is marked FMPG5F on top and S 83 01 on the bottom. I did a search on google and came up with several different things but not this item. Can someone ID this for me? TIA...rich
Sorry, Rich. A search found this page, http://www.qtx.co.uk/ , on alatvista. It says Quantex is out of business. A search of the Sams Photofacts site did not find a schematic for the monitor. If you do a search for "quantex monitor" on Hotbot, there are lots of bad stories about Quantex (maybe why they're history). My experience in past years with high voltage systems is that often when they fail, more than one part is bad. For example, the hor. xfmr is bad, caused by a blown diode or shorted capacitor. I would send it to the recyclers......
