Rich:
There is a company that lists it's diodes
in the format S.xx.xx for their high Peak Inverse
Voltage diodes. The diode data book I have does
not list the one you mention, S 83 01, but it is an old
volume . (the Diode D.A.T.A. book)

The company is Origin Electric Co. Ltd.
1-18-1 Takada Toshimako, Tokyo, Japan

Hope this helps, Wally
