Gerry,

I am not disagreeing with you at all with regard to the fonts, since that
makes perfect sense. BUT, then I have the question of why are they offered
as an update feature with regard to Win9x/Me, but I have never seen them
offered as an update feature for my Win2K system at work??? This has
puzzled me for quite some time, since on my home system, with Win98SE, when
I updated the system with a particular version of IE (can not remember
which vesion now - maybe when I went to IE 5.01 or 5.5), it all of a sudden
offered this update with a ton of languages.

However, when I updated my Win2K system at work with SP-1 and then SP-2,
when each respective pack was available, I never have seen the languages on
the list of available updates. Unless it was automatically a part of either
the initial install or part of the service packs, they would not have been
installed I would think. Or would they have been a part of the version of
IE for Win2K and not a part of the version of IE for Win9x systems????

Ralph

All the foreign language browser updates actually work and allow you to
view
a non-English web site in the corresponding language of the country.
Without
these updates you will not see much of anything. With the updates you see
the
actual language text. Great feature if you deal with non-English users like
I do!
