Hi Jeff,
I had the same problem when I got my laptop. I'm going from memory but I'll
give it a try. XP wants to do all connections with TCP/IP. I did not feel
safe 'cause I use that for internet and don't want print & file sharing turn
on yet I want to share files over my local so I have always had IPX/SPX &
NetBEUI protocols for sharing. Hope your following. Anyway Micros**t no
longer supports either as of XP. But..... after an exhausted search of
Microsoft I found that ( and this where my memory draws a blank ) somewhere
on your XP CD is the protocol & directions how to install it on the XP
machine. I did that and it works well. Still a little touchy but then again
what's not with MS.
Hope this helps. If you have trouble finding it let me know & I'll try to
retrace my steps.
P.S. DO NOT have print & file sharing turned on for TCP/IP. Risky business.

Good Luck
Mike
