[Name?] Please do not CC replies to the list and to list
members, we get two when you do that, there's no point in
that since I am obviously a subscriber.

I see what you mean, yeah if the email scavengers look at the
CODE, then they could still get your address. I was not
aware they looked within the HTML code. I've seen those non
clickable gif's of the email address, but that is just so
inconvenient for the customer since they then have to
manually open an email and type in the address. I have a
feeling regardless of what we do to prevent it, these jerks
will always find a way to harass you.

This doesn't prevent bots from collecting your e-mail
address. That is
because bots scan through the html source and not through the
final
presentation of the webpage. They usually look for mailto
tags (i.e.
"mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]";) and gather the
stuff between
the quotes.

An alternative way to present your e-mail address hiding it
from bots is
to have a non-clickable image of it. Bots can't pick up
addresses from
images (although such programms can exist) so you would be
protected from
those little, green and nasty fellows.

Another way is to replace the at-sign as wells as the dots
with similar
symbols. For example, my address can be presented as:

tnu<>chania,di,uoa,gr

which is a nice way to prevent UBE.

Note: The web interface of this list is often searched by
bots so...
