More so than a mouse, if you don't already use one you should
get a mouse pad with a gel filed wrist pad. That has help me
tremendously. Most CTS starts with wrist problems, position
of the wrist, etc. A gel wrist pad for the keyboard is also
a good idea. Also the problems start with the rotation of
the wrist. If you ever notice, when you use a mouse (right
handed for an example), you arm and wrist is unnaturally
turned inward towards your body, your thumb will point to the
left and your palm will be facing down. This is an unnatural
position. If you want to try and stay with a conventional
mouse, Logitech is the only company I've seen that addresses
this problem (unfortunately, they don't make this particular
mouse anymore but you can still find them online). The only
way I can describe it is picture a baseball or softball, then
'quarter' it. Cut it in half, then cut one of the halves in
half again. (It is a right handed mouse). Now take one of
those "quarters" and picture it curved side outward to the
right, with the L and R mouse buttons on it, one flat side to
the left and the other flat side facing down. Now if you can
see this in your mind's eye, you can see how much easier it
is to grab the mouse; your wrist is no longer twisted inward
but in a more natural position with your thumb more upward
away from the desktop. This is a cordless mouse BTW.

That site appears to be the retail site, meaning retail
price. I think I've seen them at other places for less than
$20. A search would be hard because they don't always go by
that name "Rocket Mouse". Maybe "thumb mouse", "finger
mouse", "hand held mouse" might find one. It's possible the
Rocket Mouse people may tell you of suppliers that have it
cheaper.
